The Challenge
Julian Gyll-Murray is an award-winning writer and novelist who works in multiple genres, from ghostwriting memoirs and true crime to publishing works in fantasy, thriller, horror, literary and science-fiction.
As the clients writing career continues to grow, he asked us to produce a stunning new website, to show his collection of books and provide a blog for regular updates.
Our Approach
We developed a simple new text-based logo mark for the client and colour scheme. The client then provided us with his book covers and copy for the site.
A new design was created using background images and a moody/dark colour scheme to match the client's genre, which is thriller and fantasy. The client has also written short stories, so we added a filter for those too.
We built the website so that it works as beautifully on mobile as it does on desktop, with a modern CMS so the client can easily make updates.
