Based in the county of West Sussex, Horsham is a market town about 30 miles south west of London and only 18.5 miles from Brighton.
The name comes from “Horse Ham”, meaning where horses are kept and dates back to 947 AD.
Today Horsham is a thriving market town. We enjoy browsing the markets on Saturday’s that feature a lot of fantastic fresh local produce and European foods to try too.
The town has evolved around the Carfax and the town maintains a lot of old charm as well as the newer shopping centre, Swan Walk.
Horsham is a bit like a "mini-Guildford", Horsham’s town centre is steeped in history and will appeal to fans of the architecture, little back alleys and places to explore.
Horsham station has excellent connections to London Bridge, London Victoria and Clapham. Getting into London is easy and takes just under an hour.
Getting to Brighton or Worthing is also easy by road, train or bus. The bus station in Horsham is located just off the end of West Street near the Rising Universe (Shelley Fountain).
Guildford is about half an hour up the A281 and Crawley is only 10-15 minutes away too and of course, Gatwick airport is very close by.
Horsham is home to many great local businesses, including our web design company in Horsham. Horsham includes cafes, clothing and fashion, jeweller, financial advisors etc. The town centre has a roaring restaurant trade with many chain restaurants as well as lots of local shops and independent cafes. Bills restaurant have moved into the old town Hall.
The town centre is very different to Crawley, it doesn’t have the larger, modern stores but has more smaller, independent shops based in its older buildings and of course we’re here as well.
Horsham Microbiz is a great event for small businesses in the area. The website is http://www.horshammicrobiz.co.uk/
There are various networking events based in Horsham such as the Exel Networking Club which you'll find on Facebook here. We look forward to attending more of these in future.
First, creativity needs space. Producing amazing work requires people to feel happy and relaxed in their offices and in their life. A tour of the Tube during rush hour does not always help one to relax and be creative!
Second, due to its proximity with the economic node represented by Gatwick Airport, Horsham seemed the perfect location to be close to our clients.
For a Web Development Agency it’s important to stay close to its clients.
The Sussex countries are beautiful areas of the country.
Third and final, we simply love this town!
If you want to discover the area why not pay us a visit.
