Set SEO-friendly URLs in Concrete CMS

1. Log in to your Concrete CMS dashboard

2. Head to Dashboard > System & Settings > SEO & URLs

3. Enable Pretty URLs by checking the box, to remove unnecessary characters

Set Meta Titles and Descriptions

1. Open the page you want to edit

2. Click on Page Settings

3. Go to the SEO tab

4. Enter a descriptive Meta Title, ideally between 60 and 70 characters in length

5. Write a Met Description, ideally 150 to 160 characters in length that includes your keywords

6. Save and publish your changes

Add Alt Text

1. Upload an image to the File Manager

2. Click on the image and select Properties

3. Add a descriptive Alt Text

4. Save your changes

Manage your sitemap

1. Navigate to Dashboard > System & Settings > SEO & Tracking

2. Click on XML Sitemap

3. Enable the sitemap and generate it

4. Submit the sitemap to Google Search Console

Set canonical URLs

1. Go to Dashboard > System & Settings > SEO & URLs

2. Set your preferred domain / page

3. Save your changes

Set up Google Analytics

1. Create your Google Analytics account

2. Get your tracking code

3. Head to Dashboard > System & Settings > SEO & Tracking

4. Paste your Google Analytics tracking code in the appropriate field

Optimise page speed

1. Compress images and enable caching by visiting Dashboard > System & Settings > Cache & Speed Settings
