The Challenge
North Surrey Afasic are a volunteer led charity, who support children and young adults with speech and language needs.
Being a volunteer run charity, they didn't have time for lots of meetings so needed an agency with charity experience who could work autonomously to plan and create a great new website, but keep charity staff in the loop.
We needed to come up with ways to raise the profile of North Surrey Afasic, attract more volunteers and better showcase their amazing work. The new website needed to be cost-effective, based on a low-maintenance, easy-to-edit CMS.
Our Approach
We created a new website for Afasic North Surrey, a self-funding branch of the national charity AFASIC, formerly known as the Association For Speech Impaired Children.
We planned the new website, creating a new sitemap to help guide the client into re-working the architecture of the new website. We also created wireframes so we could get the most important pages in front of the websites' audience.
Afasic North Surrey does amazing work supporting children and young adults, so we needed to present this in an appealing way and also show the benefits of donating and/or volunteering.
Concrete CMS has been used as the platform and gives the charity a cutting-edge system that enables them to easily make changes as they view the site. We are, of course, on hand to support the charity in any way necessary, including any maintenance or changes they wish to make to the website in the future.
